Ganesh Ramakrishna on raising VC money and Lyric, his startup
Our podcast episode with Ganesh Ramakrishna, founder and CEO of Lyric, just dropped. (YouTube, Spotify, Apple)
When we interviewed him, Lyric had recently announced their $23M in fundraising. So, the first part of the interview we asked Ganesh about an OR start-up and the ins- and outs of raising from VCs. As always, Ganesh had lots of good nuggets:
Know yourself: pick an area you can stick with
Talk to lots of customers, but have 80% of your idea down
Go after VC money only if you have an ambitious goal
It is really expensive to maintain and sell software (the building is the easy part)
And, many more
In the second part of the interview, we asked Ganesh about Lyric and the supply chain market they are serving. I find it interesting that Lyric’s product is allowing supply chain teams to create an AI Factory (as outlined in the book, Competing in the Age of AI).
Check out the whole thing. I enjoyed the interview.
