"Is Your Tech Mindset Holding You Back"-- My talk at Lyric's Empower on Aug 13 in Chicago

Lyric is holding its annual conference, Empower 2025, on August 13-14 in Chicago.

They have a great lineup of speakers from Krispy Kreme, Estee Lauder, Planview (by Razat Gaurav, the CEO of Planview and former CEO of LLamasoft), Coca-Cola, BODYARMOR, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, DHL, Mondelez, ACCO Brands, Estee Lauder, and NVIDIA.

I’ll be giving a talk, “Is Your Tech Mindset Holding You Back,” with Colin Kessinger.

Both Colin and I have been thinking a lot about this topic—technology is dramatically changing education and will also change business.

I don’t know how LLMs will shake out. However, we’ll attempt to give you some pointers on where things are going, why you shouldn’t over- or under-estimate LLMs, and what you can do to create new opportunities.
