I wanted to go deeper with ChatGPT and get in on some of the fun.
I’m excited to announce a very early version of our Supply Chain Network Design Book integrated with ChatGPT. Currently, it only works with ChatGPT-4 (the paid version). If you have that, click here and try it out.
We’d love your feedback. This is an early version. I asked it to take a math model on page 97 and turn it into a working Gurobi model. It did it but missed one constraint. I told it about the mistake, and it fixed it.
We’ll keep tweaking the integration, adding more material (besides the book), and making it more widely available.
We created this because this might be a trend with books and educational material: it is an interactive learning experience, gives personal assistance, and can be integrated with other material.
This was made possible by a new research project I’ve started. A team of Northwestern MEM students (and an entrepreneur from Argentina) are working with me to create educational material on network design, supply chain planning, and how LLMs can help. We aren’t ready to announce it, but the team has already made good progress on network design.
Hi Michael, that is really interesting! Is this similar to the Khanmigo project at Khan academy?
I have chat gpt 4. I tried your link in this page and it did not work.
Can you let me know if you have a working link to test it?
Very interesting blend of instruction, can't wait to see it.
