This is an educational blog that will focus on practical AI and how to apply it to businesses and organizations.

Practical AI includes all the advanced algorithms that are used to solve problems. This includes Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning, Optimization (Mixed Integer Programming), Simulation, and other techniques.

I’ll cover a wide range of industries with an emphasis on supply chain and operations research.

On the business side, I’ve spent my career working for start-up optimization and AI companies that served Fortune 500 (and smaller) customers. I’ll cover both sides of this: lessons I learned from starting a company and lessons that apply to people inside large organizations who want to better understand Practical AI.
