Thomas Davenport and Nitin Mittal’s 2023 book, “All in on AI,” makes the case that large companies can uncover significant value by going “AI first” or, as they say, “AI Fueled.”
For books, I like Optimization Edge (for good stories on the benefit of optimization), Factory Physics (a textbook with good OR concepts), and Designing and Managing the Supply Chain. You can see the full list of books here with some other sources: https://miketalksai.substack.com/p/the-45-business-books-that-i-recommend
Besides books, INFORMS.org has excellent information. I also like the podcast interviews with Irv Lustig or the "subject to" podcast.
I'm probably missing a bunch, and there is space for a few more books in this area.
I liked interviews with Laura Albert, Dimitris Bertsimas, Warren Powell, Kate Smith-Miles, and Radhika Kulkarni. I've found plenty of great material in many others too. I have a bunch more that I want to listen to.
Do you have any book recommendations that fulfills that element on the practical application of OR?

Subject to is such a good find! I’ve been looking for an OR podcast. Any notable episodes off the top of your head?

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions. I’m looking them all up now!
